Broadcasting in the 90's is highly technical and very demanding. College level training is essential for people planning a career in radio or television. We feel LCC offers quality training and industry acceptance is demonstrated by our many graduates working from B.C. to Ontario many of them in managerial positions.

Veryls experience includes CHEC Radio- Lethbridge Alberta starting in 1960 and lasting 10 years. He has also worked at CKXL Calgary, CJCL in Edmonton, CFUN Vancouver for 3 years, and CFCN Calgary for 10 years.

One of the benifits of attending Lethbridge Community College's Broadcasting Program is the limited class size enabling all students to receive ample practical time in CLCC. We try our best to run the station in a professional manner covering all aspects the students need to know, both on and off the air, so there are no suprises after graduating from the program. We also try to keep the station equipped with the tools of the trade includeing digital editing and computer enhanced scheduling programs such as Music Master, SAW and INES with Broadcast News.

Mike started his radio career in 1973. He has worked in Lethbridge, Red Deer and Edmonton. Currently he is the morning host at 1220 CJOC, teaching first year broadcasters, radio and television announcing and general manager of CLCC for second year students. In his spare time Mike likes anything to do with his 5 year old son Jared, swimming, golf, hockey, bowling, and making homebrews.

Also enjoys various actvities with the church of the Nazarene in Lethbridge.
